About Us
Recorded Moments is the fulfillment of several of the desires of our hearts. I have always loved music (both listening and playing) and a natural extension of that is to record my favorite songs. Another blessing on our lives over the years is the fantastic teaching we have received via many wonderful speakers of various subjects. By listening to tapes we have learned what has worked for others and what has not.
Well life was fine until it was upset due to the normal cycles of the economy I came into a situation where I lost my job (electrical controls design). A natural direction for us was to start a company that records various speakers and at the same time allows us to work together as a family. Our family of 6 boys, no girls (bummer) all wanted to get involved in the business and really love to travel to events and meet new friends. You see we have realized that if you do not actively involve your children in what you do, YOU MISSED THE BOAT! Is it easy? No Way! BUT, it is satisfying. The best reason to start something like this is to work with your spouse and children.
We have learned to encourage each child to pick out an interest and go with it to learn all he can about it. One example of this is our oldest son Joshua (17) who is now our webmaster. He is getting quite good and is learning web design and internet marketing skills. Through going to internet marketing seminars he has connected with some of the best web designers and Internet Marketers out there. What an education! He now makes some very professional web sites and can be contacted at cs@jmdw.com or on the contacts page. Seeing what is possible to those who try our next few sons are getting excited about the possibilities of "Thinking Outside of the Box."
Everyone in the family learns how the business runs, from accounting,
to customer service, to marketing on the internet, to just plain getting
a good recording. Our desire as parents is to develop a desire in them to
become an entrepreneur!
So our desire with this company is to give you the best possible
product while teaching our children to:
